Environmental awareness is a hot topic these days, and New Zealand promotes itself as ‘clean and green’, a paradise of green spaces and beauty where caring for the environment is part of life. Recreation, agriculture and horticulture, the needs of wildlife, suburban development and industry are all competing for space in a world where the climate is forecast to become more unpredictable and challenging. Is New Zealand prepared for this? Is a clean, green image enough now? We have a programme to educate and inform students on the environmental issues that the Hawke’s Bay community and authorities are facing and the efforts that are being made to address these. Join us for 4 weeks of part time English study with other international students from the General English programme. Take part in an environmental-themed activity programme four times a week, usually in the afternoon. On the fifth afternoon you will have the opportunity to join other international students in Friday Options, at your own cost. The excursion will include the following visits and activities
